I added “style” to the title of this post because Kris’s house is not really a farmhouse. The exterior is more like a modern farm building, remember?
But this year, Kris’s husband built a front porch and it. is. beautiful.
The chairs around the table are antique, but the man of the house built the 99 inch long farm table and bench.
Kris shared that she got the chairs for a great deal: less than $15 each.
She could have bought new chairs like this for the same price:
Or she could have bought a patio set that won’t even seat her whole family, like this one for $1,499 (from Walmart!)
But instead, she has this set…table and bench hand built by her hubby, and chairs that have stood the test of time.
Personally, I like Kris’s way of furnishing her porch better.
The hutch was a HomeShed find. It was actually a candle display piece from a boutique store, but it works GREAT on her porch. The accessories were all things she had around the house.
The drop cloth curtains are perfect for this space. She simply nailed them in place.
I adore the pleats.
Now, let’s see one more before and after…
