My mom gathered these soles for me, and it just so happens that the person who wears through shoes the fastest is my teenage brother. So these “soles” aren’t all exactly what I was looking for, but they work!
The impatiens have seen better days – probably before I bought them on clearance at Walmart. Maybe they’ll be pretty again before the first frost.
But the pink ones were a Mother’s Day gift from my little guy and his Brenda (daycare provider.) I think they look perfect hanging out of this boot!
This is what the tree looked like before and after. It’s just a small shade garden, but I will add to it in the fall when I raid my relatives’ hostas and coral bells. :)
Much better, huh? And if your “sole” needs refreshing, you are welcome to drop it off here, where it will get a makeover, spend some time with nature, and be renewed (and re-used!)
I love the shoe garden! So cute! I hope you have a happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that? I've been waiting for someone around here to wear out a pair of boots... guess they just don't work hard enough for my gardening purposes. So clever you are!
